DPF Cleaning

High-Quality DPF Filter Cleaning Service

Exhaust system cleaning services

With emissions standards and regulations on diesel vehicles becoming increasingly widespread, it is now more important than ever to ensure that your vehicle is operating at peak efficiency. In order to meet the relevant emissions regulations, modern diesel vehicles are now fitted with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs), which capture fine particles in the exhaust gases using a filter system.

DPFs are usually self-cleaning, using the exhaust’s heat to clear away any build-up of particulate matter, but this is not always the case. Over time, it will become harder and harder for your DPF to clean itself, especially if you do lots of short journeys at low speeds which prevents the system from heating up fully. This will eventually impact your DPF’s performance and therefore your vehicle’s efficiency and compliance with regulations.

For this reason, it’s vital that your vehicle undergoes DPF cleaning and exhaust maintenance every so often. This will enable you to ensure that your DPF is functioning at the very best possible level and help you prolong the life of your DPF filtration system.

When is DPF cleaning required?

There are a number of early warning signs to look out for, such as:
  • Noticeable loss of power.
  • The DPF warning light in your dashboard is orange or red.
  • Your car's stop-start system isn't running.
  • Worsening fuel economy.
  • A different engine note or higher idling.
  • Your vehicle's cooling fans run more often.
Catch the problem now before a catastrophic failure occurs as a new DPF could cost thousands of pounds, depending on the vehicle.
Applied Radiators clean DPF's of all types, whether they are from a car, van, truck, bus or even heavy plant machinery.
