Coronavirus – Covid19 (Updated 02/04/20)

It is a very concerning time for everyone’s health & safety and also for every business, big or small. These are certainly unprecedented times that we are currently facing.

We are open as normal. Our current stock of commercial radiators & intercoolers are good, plus our specialist workshop staff are on hand to carry out our other services that we provide. We also remain fully committed to delivering the same high quality goods & service that you’ve come to know & expect from us.

Forward Planning

The coming weeks & months remain unclear. We aim to carry on & work as normal, unless we are directly affected by Covid19. If that should happen & we are forced to scale back our operations we will keep you informed. Our staff are taking precautions as outlined by the government & we are hopeful that this will be enough to avoid the virus.

Wherever possible we are investigating the options & possibility for staff to work from home. We realise that this could have a potential impact on our speed of response, however we are hopeful that our customers will understand any possible delay whilst these measures are put in place.

With all the uncertainty we realise that any forward planning is almost impossible so we are remaining flexible & available for your needs & requests.

Update 24/03/20

After the UK governments announcement last night we can confirm that we are still open for business.

However, we may now experience some delays with our supply chain as a small number of our suppliers are taking the option to close temporarily. Unfortunately this will mean delayed lead times on a number of a products & services but we will try to keep this to a minimum, wherever possible.

New government guidelines have now been published on the gov.uk website.

Transport
This includes those who will keep the air, water, road and rail passenger and freight transport modes operating during the COVID-19 response, including those working on transport systems through which supply chains pass.

As we are part of this chain, providing goods & services that help to keep our transport industry moving, we are now prioritising our commercial vehicle & rail work sectors.

We have also introduced new measures to safeguard our staff, suppliers & customers as much as possible which include the following:

  •  No suppliers, sales reps, delivery drivers or customers will be allowed to enter our offices or workshop & only our staff members will be permitted entry. We have placed signs on & around our reception, goods in & workshop doors advising this & what to do upon arrival.
  •  Collections/Deliveries made by our drivers. We have instructed our drivers to not get out of their vehicles when arriving on site. Upon arrival our driver will unlock the rear doors & all unloading/loading is to be carried out by our supplier/customer. For the time being, our drivers will no longer ask for a signature on delivery, instead they will ask for the recipients name & write it themselves on our delivery sheet.

Update 27/03/20

Further to our previous update and with the ever changing circumstances, we have now made further changes which will enable us to adapt to the current climate.

Our head office & workshop in Stoke-On-Trent will be remaining open. However this will be with a reduced number of staff, both in our office & our workshop.

Our Burton Upon Trent depot will be temporarily closed from end of business on Monday 30th March until further notice. Whilst the office will be closed, we will still continue to offer our goods & services to our Burton depot customers.

We have taken these measures to safeguard our staff, suppliers & customers as much as possible.

Our number 1 priority now is to serve our commercial vehicle & rail work customers. We recognise it is absolutely vital that as many trucks, emergency service vehicles & goods trains are in active service in this difficult time. As previously mentioned our stock of truck radiators & intercoolers is good, plus we are also on hand for other services including the cleaning & repair of Diesel, Hydraulic & Ad-Blue tanks.

Unfortunately, this will now mean that there will be inevitable delays for a number for a number of our other customers. We will try to keep this to a minimum, wherever possible.

Understandably, a number of our suppliers have reduced their staff levels & minimised services, plus there are also others which have closed completely until at least the 14th April which will also have an effect.

We will continue to monitor the situation & will provide further updates in the coming days & weeks.

Thank you.

As a key supplier to the emergency services, haulage & rail industry we remain open for business.

We are also on hand for our other services including tank cleaning & repairs (diesel/hydraulic/Ad-Blue) & propshaft repairs.

Our Burton depot remains closed for the time being while our staff member works from home. Rest assured, we will continue to support our Burton depot customers.
